Who we are
VibeCalc provides free construction calculators on the web at vibecalc.app
and as a free Android application on Google Play (package
com.vibe.measurementapp). This policy covers both. For

What we collect
The website collects essentially nothing about you directly. We do not require accounts, do not collect names, addresses, payment details, or email addresses. There are no signup forms, no contact forms, no newsletter.
We use the following minimal mechanisms:
- Browser local storage stores your unit preference
(imperial or metric) under the key
vibecalc-units-v2. This is a "strictly necessary" preference, not tracking. You can clear it any time via your browser's developer tools or storage settings. - Server-edge GeoIP: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) sees your IP address on each page request and returns a 2-letter country code. We use this only to default the calculator to your region's unit system (e.g., Albania → metric, US → imperial) and to decide whether to show region-appropriate affiliate links. We do not log or store your IP ourselves.
- Standard server logs: Cloudflare retains anonymized, aggregated request logs as part of providing CDN and security services. These are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Third parties
The site loads or integrates with the following third-party services. Your interactions with each are governed by the third party's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides DNS, CDN, and edge compute. They process request data for security and performance.
- Google Fonts delivers the Archivo and JetBrains Mono typefaces. When fonts load, your IP address is sent to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
- Amazon Associates: each calculator page in regions where we offer them (US currently) shows links to relevant materials and tools on amazon.com. These are affiliate links: when you click one, Amazon sets a 24-hour cookie on its own domain to attribute any subsequent purchase to us, and we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. See Amazon's privacy notice.
- Google Play: the "Get the Free App" links route to Google Play. Google's policy governs the Play Store experience.
- Google Analytics / Google AdSense (optional): if analytics or display advertising are enabled, the site shows a cookie notice and does not load those optional Google scripts until you accept. If you decline, the calculators remain usable and those optional services stay off in your browser.
Mobile app - additional notice
The VibeCalc Android app requires microphone access to accept voice input for measurements. Audio is processed on the device, in real time, by Android's speech-recognition system. No audio is recorded, permanently stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties. The app keeps in-session material lists locally on your device for PDF export/share; we do not have access to that data.
Your rights
- EU / UK (GDPR) - you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection. Since we hold no personal data we can identify you with, most requests are not applicable. Contact us if needed.
- California (CCPA) - you can request what data we have on file (none, beyond aggregated request logs at Cloudflare).
- Anywhere - clear your browser's local storage to remove the unit preference. Do not click affiliate links if you don't want Amazon to set its tracking cookie.
Children
VibeCalc is a tool for construction tradespeople. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
Liability
The calculators provide estimates for planning purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional engineering, architectural, or contracting advice. You are responsible for verifying all calculations against local building codes and applicable specifications. See the Terms of Service for the full liability statement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site for at least 14 days before taking effect.
